The development of THE DAVIS SYSTEM began in 1992 and has now been developed into a product that will aid both engineers and non-engineers in the determination of dust collecting systems requirements. This system was first intended for use by our company sales agents around the country in the selection of the proper pre-engineered cataloged dust collecting or pneumatic conveying system to quote potential customers. The company wanted their agents to be able to make the correct system selection to offer the customer on that first visit to their plant.

This software can be a very valuable product for management personnel who have to determine which bidder is offering the system their company needs, not what the bidder would like to sell. The program can produce the actual volume of air your system requires, if a bidder offers a lower air volume, or a much higher volume system, you will know to ask questions.  Knowing the right questions to ask is also a very valuable tool to help prevent buying something that is not going to work efficiently. This new software makes judgments to determine not only the size of the collectors according to the volume of air being handled, but it also indicates which collector arrangement will best suit the size of the product being conveyed by the system.

Large manufacturers will likely have the engineering knowledge necessary to work with potential suppliers of their dust collecting requirements. However, those companies who do not have engineering available to work with the bidders of their system, will benefit greatly from this program; it is tried and proven time and again to supply the correct air volume information for picking up and convey the product to the collecting area or storage.
